Which hi-fi devices are compatible with JPLAY app?
Nearly every streamer or network DAC on the market! The beauty of JPLAY app is that it utilizes UPnP AV standard which is widely used for decades and most likely your hi-fi streaming device supports it even though you have not heard about it before.
Which streaming services are supported?
JPLAY currently supports Qobuz and TIDAL. You can also play your local music library via a UPnP server and even mix tracks from multiple sources in one playlist.
Does JPLAY process audio?
No — JPLAY never touches the audio signal. It acts as a control point, sending playback commands and streams directly to your network player or HQPlayer instance.
This ensures bit-perfect playback and the highest possible sound quality.
Does JPLAY support HQPlayer?
Yes! JPLAY has native HQPlayer support. Simply run HQPlayer Desktop or HQPlayer Embedded on your network and make sure the "Allow Control From Network" button is enabled — JPLAY will detect it automatically and let you stream music and control playback with no additional setup.
What do I need to get started?
1. An iPhone / iPad running iOS 13 or newer or M CPU Mac.
2. A compatible network audio device (UPnP capable streamer, DAC with network input, or HQPlayer endpoint)and
3. A home network (wired or Wi-Fi). Both devices must be connected to the same network.
Playing local music files?
If you want to browse and play your local library, you’ll need a UPnP media server running on your network.
We recommend MinimServer for its excellent performance and metadata handling.

Can I try JPLAY for free?
Yes, there is a 2-week free trial period. You have to subscribe to be able to use the app, but you WON'T be charged during 14-day free trial period. You can cancel the subscription at any moment during the 14-day trial period if you do not wish to pay for the yearly subscription. For more details see pricing page.
Can I use JPLAY on all my iOS devices using a single license?
Yes, you can use JPLAY app on all of your iOS devices as long as they are using the same Apple ID account.
Can I switch from JPLAY Premium (yearly subscription) to JPLAY Lifetime?
Yes, you can switch from JPLAY Premium (yearly subscription) to JPLAY Lifetime license anytime. Current subscribers can upgrade to JPLAY Lifetime for a discounted price of $149 (€149 in EU). To upgrade your plan, go to Settings screen and tap 'Buy Lifetime' in About section. If you purchased JPLAY Lifetime license but still have an active yearly subscription to JPLAY Premium, please cancel it. There is no way for us to do it automatically.
